Job description:An established company in West Sussex is recruiting a Benefits & Payroll Officer to manage their employee benefits schemes and monthly payroll on a mainly remote working basis of just 1 day a month in the office, subject to business requirements.About the Role:The role would suit an experienced Benefits & Payroll Officer who is able to work on their own initiative with experience of administering benefit schemes and ideally running payrolls.Key Responsibilities of the Benefits & Payroll Officer:
  • Managing the relationship with the benefits schemes providers and brokers.
  • Being the subject matter experts for benefits and the HR and Payroll systems, including implementation of a new system and delivering training to managers on the system.
  • Providing advice and support to line managers and staff on benefits, pay and pension queries.
  • Preparation and submission of payroll data for payrolls to outsourced payroll provider and liaison with Finance, HMRC and other stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Preparation and submission of pensions data to outsourced pension provider including auto-enrolment.
  • Payroll Year End processes, ensuring P60s and P11Ds are submitted and distributed correctly and in good time.
What We're Looking For:
  • Knowledge of benefits and pensions including Defined Contribution (DC), Self-Invested Personal Pensions (SIPP) and Salary Sacrifice.
  • Strong Excel / systems skills.
  • Ideally experience of running or supporting payrolls.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills, able to work under own initiative.
  • Able to commute at least once a month to their offices in West Sussex.
