Company details and job overview:

Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a business that is based in the Buckshaw Village area. This company is rapidly expanding and focusses on rewarding it's employees (see benefits below). You would join a team of 7 finance staff and have the drive and ambition to want to progress in your career. The benefits include unlimited paid annual leave, a pension contribution of up to 10%, and quarterly / annual bonuses.

Your new role as the Assistant Assistant:

- Supporting in the production of monthly management accounts.
- Annual management account preparation.
- Cashflow management.
- CIS deductions and monthly returns.
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank statements.
- Process accounts payable, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare monthly financial reports to assist management in decision-making.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements and tax returns.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding financial practices.
- Utilise accounting software such as Xero, to manage financial data efficiently

Experience & Skills required to apply:

- Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar role within finance or accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and bookkeeping principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Xero is desirable but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members and external stakeholders.
- A relevant qualification in finance or accounting is preferred but not essential.
- Experience with inter company charges
