Experienced Lending Operations Manager required by leading financial services company, with ambitious and exciting plans to enhance its operation and distribution channels, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and professional mortgage advisory service to customers and intermediaries. At the core of the role is responsibility for making key decisions with ownership of lending policy, strategies, risk appetite and risk management.

In return you will benefit from hybrid working, an excellent salary to c£60K+ and a range of benefits including a 35 hour week, healthcare, excellent pension scheme, free onsite parking and 27 days holidays (rising with service) + 8 bank holidays plus other benefits. This role is being offered as an initial 12-month FTC with the potential to convert to permanent thereafter.

Mortgage Lending Manager - Key skills & Experience

  • Proven leadership and management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work at pace with multiple responsibilities
  • CeMap qualified or industry equivalent (critical)
  • Experience within a Mortgage Lending environment (critical)
  • Significant manual residential mortgage underwriting experience

Mortgage Lending Manager - Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the Mortgage Department.
  • Provide guidance to team members in accordance with MCOB and PRA sourcebook
  • Assist in the development of mortgage products and services.
  • Execute and manage the company’s lending strategy and tactical business plans
  • Plan and organise mortgage lending activities and resources in order to meet lending objectives
  • Proactively communicate and embed the lending strategy, working alongside other business departments as appropriate
  • Compile of business performance reports to key stakeholders
  • Manage operational resilience within own business area, complying with the Operational
  • Resilience policy
  • Train and develop mortgage staff in line with the Training & Competence schemes and minimum regulatory requirements
