You might be happy in your current role, but have you ever come across a role like this?

Probably not, because opportunities like this don't come around often.

Imagine partnering with an experienced CEO to steer the financial strategy of one of the most innovative and diverse rural estates in the country.

Situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, in Cirencester, this estate is known for its breathtaking landscapes, ancient woodlands, and an abundance of heritage. Over 300 years of rich history, preserved and cherished by generations.

But heritage doesn't mean dull. Here, innovation meets tradition.

If you're not about the hustle and bustle of city life and crave a role where purpose meets passion, this could be the perfect opportunity.

What's Waiting for You:

As the Finance Lead, you'll be at the helm of financial leadership for an estate that spans over 250 properties, including residential, commercial, and agricultural buildings.

With over 4,000 hectares of arable land, a 350-cow dairy herd and a focus on sustainable farming practices, this isn't your average finance role-it's a chance to shape the future of a rural powerhouse.

You'll be fully immersed in strategic and commercial initiatives, playing a crucial role in preserving the estate for future generations. There are development projects, including a major urban expansion, a biogas energy centre and solar installations, you'll make an impact that goes beyond numbers.

A Day in Your Life:

This role's no walk in the park as a lot is going on; although the Estate does own the Park so a lunchtime walk is a pleasurable way to take a break!

In this role, you'll:

  • Lead and inspire a finance team, ensuring their growth, motivation, and success.

  • Act as a Finance Business Partner to the Board of Trustees, providing invaluable insights and driving business performance.

  • Oversee everything from financial forecasting and cash flow management, to shaping and embedding a best practice culture across the organisation.

What You Bring:

You're a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with proven leadership experience-perhaps as a Finance Lead or second-in-command looking to take that next exciting step.

SME experience is highly valued, and although industry-specific experience isn't essential, your commercial acumen will help you thrive in this unique environment.

What's In It for You?

  • A competitive salary of £85,000 - £95,000 plus benefits.

  • The opportunity to step into a Finance Director role once established.

  • A beautiful work environment in the stunning Cotswolds.

  • Free parking-because who needs the stress of city parking?

  • The chance to be part of something historic yet forward-thinking.

If you're not active in the job market, chances are your CV isn't up to date - not to worry, send me what you have or message me on LinkedIn.

This isn't just a job; it's a chance to transform and inspire-to lead with purpose in a role that offers both professional growth and a connection to something truly special.
