Holcim UK is looking for an experienced Loading Shovel Operator to join our team at Bardon Hill. This is a great opportunity for an operator with a strong safety focus to work with a leading company in the industry.
Role: Loading Shovel Operator
Location: Holcim UK Limited, Bardon Hill Quarry, Bardon Road, Coalville, LE67 1TL
Pay: £15ph PAYE, Mon to Saturday OT available at x1.5 of basic salary
Hours: Monday - Friday, 6am to 6pm (60 hours per week, OT available)
Contract: Temp to Perm (3-6 months initially, with potential for a permanent role)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating loading shovel machinery safely and efficiently
- Handling materials and ensuring timely delivery to designated areas
- Conducting routine checks on equipment and reporting any issues
- Adhering to strict health and safety procedures
Essential Requirements:
- Valid Loading Shovel licence
- Experience operating a loading shovel in an industrial setting
- Familiarity with loader joystick operation
- Valid UK driving licence and own transport
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
