Job Purpose

As our Commercial Operations Manager, you’ll play a central role in shaping and executing key initiatives to drive Hyundai's sales growth across multiple channels. Reporting to the Head of Sales Operations and responsible for one direct report, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead the digital transformation of our sales function, and help shape the future of mobility with a focus on EV and AFV growth. Establishing and maintaining reporting and programmes to support the wider Sales Operations team you will be instrumental in driving business growth and improved performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Strategic Execution: As a key leader in the Sales team, you'll drive the rollout of Hyundai’s commercial operations strategy, elevating sales quality, optimising processes, and achieving national sales and profit objectives.
  • Collaborate for Impact: Work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams to develop and implement commercial network policies that align with national sales goals and maximise profitability.
  • Innovate for Results: Identify, create, and launch high-impact initiatives and tools that support the delivery of our sales and profit targets, while ensuring continuous improvement in our operations.
  • Lead Digital Transformation: Take ownership of Hyundai’s Digital Sales Transformation programme, ensuring we leverage the latest technologies to drive operational efficiency and enhance the customer experience.
  • Champion EV & AFV Growth: Lead the expansion of Electric Vehicles (EV) and Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFV) across our dealer network, positioning Hyundai as a leader in sustainable mobility.
  • Build Powerful Partnerships: Develop strong relationships with key technology providers and industry partners, ensuring Hyundai stays ahead of market trends and continues to innovate in sales and customer support.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate with Hyundai Motor Europe (HME) and other business units to align commercial strategies with global corporate priorities.
  • Optimise Sales Tools: Design and enhance sales tools, such as bonus calculators and national sales presentations, to ensure maximum performance across our dealer network.
  • Maximise Lead Management: Own the lead management process, ensuring we effectively funnel customer inquiries to dealers and convert every opportunity into a sale.
  • Leverage Data for Success: Lead the analytics and reporting for all commercial sales programs, using data insights to drive smarter decision-making and improve performance.
  • This role is a supporting function to the Sales Operations team providing various data sets, production and maintenance of accurate and timely reporting providing Analysis and insight to the department allowing for targeted performance actions.
  • Interdepartmental and supplier relationships will be important in developing new programmes to assist the HMUK business and wider retailer network to enhance performance and reporting, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • The successful candidate will have an exceptional ability to use various platforms including Excel, Power point, Power BI and Sisense.
  • The role will carry responsibility for the management and leadership of a support role reporting into the successful candidate.
  • Digital Transformation Leadership: Spearhead the transformation of Hyundai’s sales function through innovative digital tools and processes.
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Oversee the forecasting and reporting systems that track commercial performance and ensure data accuracy for informed decision-making.
  • Lead Management Excellence: Champion best practices in lead management, optimising the customer journey from lead generation to successful sales conversion.
  • Sales Programs Management: Own the development, execution, and analysis of all commercial sales programs, ensuring they drive both profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Cost Centre Management: Manage the sales department cost centre, ensuring that resources are used efficiently to support sales and operational goals.
