Reed HR Epsom are currently working with a client in supporting their search for a HR Manager.

  • 6-month fixed term contract 
  • Office and home working
  • 35 hours per week with one hour unpaid for lunch
  • 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday
  • Supporting a Recruitment Coordinator and HR Assistant

The role:

To lead the HR function, managing all day-to-day operational activities to plan long term people-related priorities. Provide legally compliant policies and advice and facilitate workforce training and development. 

This is a fantastic role providing an experienced HR Manager / HR Generalist who enjoys getting stuck in and is able to work at pace.

This role will suit someone who is able to create strong working relationships and hit the ground running, whilst supporting another Senior Manager. 

The successful candidate will be an experienced HR Manager/Business Partner with change management and policies experience.

General role duties of HR Manager:

  • Lead and manage the HR department & associated activity, working with and supported by the Senior Management Team as and when required
  • Provide consistent and compliant employment law and employee relations advice to management and staff
  • Identify and communicate any HR/people-related risk, sharing proposed solutions or mitigation to the senior management team
  • Line manage the HR team, carrying out regular one to ones and appraisals as required
  • Identify and lead on improvements in ways of working
  • Undertake project work to include change management & contract reviews
  • Anticipate, identify, and present solutions and delivery issues which may arise, using accurate best practice and employment legislation
  • Develop and propose new system processes based on requirements and best practice
  • Create and analyse HR data and insight, providing reports and information as required to support decision making and continuous improvement
  • Respond in a timely manner to ad hoc (via email or verbal) requests from various members of staff
  • Responding to requests for general HR information using internal and external resources
  • Comply with all legal requirements and charity policy, including but not limited to Health & Safety at Work Regulations and GDPR
