Sales Supervisor, Essex/Suffolk Boarder
32K + Car Allowance, Commission + Bonus

Company Description

TLP Recruitment is partnering with a leading UK Freight Forwarding company with over a 35-year history in the business and looking for a Sales Supervisor to join their team on the Essex/Suffolk boarders in the New Year.

Role Description

The Sales Supervisor is responsible for obtaining new clients and sales and providing sales quotations and communication to prospective new clients and to provide on-going assistance to overseas customers and agency development. The Supervisor is also responsible for the work distribution and supervising of the small sales team.

  • Providing sales quotations to prospective new clients & web enquiries.
  • Use our in-house freight software to form quotations and sales reports.
  • Effective interaction with the Operations team, working alongside them on new client bookings.
  • Achieving KPIs set by the Business Development team for number of new conversions.
  • Review monthly profit/loss report to make sure in line with expected budgets.
  • Maintain data records of prospective new clients.
  • Plan and organise sales activities in connection with our Business Development Plan and liaising with the Business Development team
  • Research prospective customers and identify new leads.
  • Working with the Commercial Director on marketing activities to gain new leads.
  • Attend local networking events and networking webinars.
  • Support new business opportunities with our international agency network
  • Future international travel opportunities to network with agency partners
  • Look for and set up new partners/suppliers with improved services or more cost-effective shipping techniques while maintaining service levels.
  • Negotiate with all major shipping lines, partners/suppliers on our rates to find cost savings where possible.

Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of the Freight Forwarding industry
  • Proven sales within this industry
  • Social Media skills
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbally and written
  • Full driving license
