MacKenzie King are recruiting a Temporary Payroll Manager for a well-respected business, based on the outskirts of Colchester. As a Temporary Payroll Manager, you will manage 2 Payroll Assistants and be responsible for the administration, processing and delivery of payroll for the business in a timely and accurate manner.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Organise and prioritise workloads each month to deliver payroll for approximately 2000 employees, across 2 monthly payrolls (salaried and hourly paid)
- Processing all payroll documents, expenses, mileage, and pay increases
- Checking and approval of payroll and authorisation of BACS payments
- Processing and submitting payments to pension companies
- Payroll queries by phone and email for employees and managers
- Issuing of P45’s and P60’s
- Sickness recording and issuing of SSP1’s
- SMP, SPP and SAP recorded and processed
- Ad hoc reporting as requested
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication skills to liaise at all levels
- Experience in a similar role
- System migration experience would be advantageous
- Intermediate Excel skills
