Our client is a very well-established and prestigious company with an outstanding reputation in their field.
They are currently seeking a CNC Machinist to join their busy team at their manufacturing facility in Congleton.
Main duties
- Read, interpret and understand engineering drawings and associated paperwork in order to determine how products are to be correctly manufactured.
- Use hand tools, production machinery and tooling to cut, machine, form, shape and size components to their required dimensions specified on engineering drawings.
- Use available software and program CNC equipment for the purpose of machining/drilling product
- Ensure that any measuring or production equipment used is within its re-calibration date prior to use
- Select tools, check condition and set up in accordance with job card and/or work instructions
- Accurately record the time expended on production work to the correct works order number
- Ensure that all production related work activities and records comply with relevant quality standards
Requirements
- Experienced in working within an engineering environment.
- CNC Machining & Programming of multi-axis CNC equipment
- Experience of working with manufacturing jigs and assembly aids.
- Experienced in using production tooling and machinery.
- NVQ Level3 Engineering apprenticeship
