The responsibilities of the Business Development Director / VP of Business Development role are as follows:

  • Build upon well-established, existing customer programmes with OEMs and Prime OEMs internationally
  • Further develop the companys offering in the MRO aftermarket on existing and new programmes
  • Assess market opportunities for new product development and work closely with the engineering teams to develop new aerospace, defence and EVTOL concepts
  • Play a lead role in the development of the companys technology roadmap to align the evolution of the companys product offering with the future trajectory of the aerospace market
  • Be the customer interface for the company during trade shows, customer visits, and ongoing customer relationship management
  • Lead the price negotiation, contract management and commercial agreements for all existing and new contracts with international customers
  • Assist in the rapid growth of the company with a target to double in size over the next five years
  • Travel internationally to support the companys sales and the further development of sales across the group internationally

The experience required for the Business Development Director / VP of Business Development position are as follows:

  • Degree qualified, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in engineering or business management
  • Experience in a sales management position within aerospace or defence manufacturing
  • Extensive account management/customer interface experience
  • Ability to engage with R&D, Engineering and manufacturing during NPI/NPD
  • Willing to travel internationally (UK, EU, and US)
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
