Accounts Senior

We are looking for an Accounts Senior to join our busy and friendly team based in our Coventry office. We support businesses with all of their accountancy and financial needs and offer a professional and caring service. Your main responsibility is to be one of the main point of contacts for our clients, managing their accounts/ VAT returns etc and to maintain and build excellent relationships. You will also be responsible for mentoring and assisting our junior team and reviewing their work when necessary

Responsibilities

• Managing day to day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients as well as preparation and review of management accounts and VAT returns• Preparation and presentation of management reporting, including analysis and interpretation of performance against KPI’s• Assisting with the preparation of consolidated financial reporting packs for clients• Reviewing client entries and advising of corrections or efficiency improvements• Working with clients, assisting with the implementation of accounting systems and solutions• Communicating directly with HMRC when necessary, and responding to client queries on a range of issues.• Providing training to clients on cloud accounting packages - Xero Accounts /Quickbooks - as required• Resolving bookkeeping/accounting issues or take on accounts-related projects• Coaching and supervising junior colleagues • Assisting with filings of taxes and statutory returns for clients as necessary• Liaising with Managers to ensure all client accounting work is completed accurately, within budget and on time

Qualifications / Skillset

• Qualifications in Accountancy / finance
• Experience working in an accountancy firm
• Ideally ACA or ACCA qualified / studying
• Management experience
• Experience in preparing Limited company accounts
• Knowledge of cloud accounting packages ideally Xero / Quickbooks
• Experience of FRS102/ -OMBs/ Groups / Charities / SRA Accounts Rules- FCA clients with CASS reporting
