The company are a leading manufacturer of products and applicationsfor the security/defence industry.
The business are seeking to recruit a Quality Engineerfor their operations.
The main responsibility for the role is to carry out complex inspections and ensure traceability across projects.
Responsibilities
As a Quality Engineer, the duties are as follows;
- Perform complex inspections to ensure product compliance and quality standards.
- Creation and maintain detailed quality reporting.
- Manage and regulation of first off samples.
- Analysing of testing reports, investigate potential test failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and implementation of process audit schedules.
- Application of root cause analysis techniques (8D, 5-Why) to resolve NCR's.
- Assist in reviewing and approving concessions, deviations andECR's.
- Conduct risk assessments on processes - ensuring compliance with ISO9001, BSI and MOD regulations.
- Carry out traceability checks, ensuring accurate documentation across all schedules.
- Approval and sign off of certificate of conformity.
Key skills for this role are as follows;
- Proven experience in a quality role applying of quality methodologies, tools and techniques, including 8D and 5Why.
- Understanding and experience of ISO9001, BSI standards and conducting MOD auditing.
- Experience of a high volume manufacturing environment, ideally within Automotive or Defence.
- Excellent written and communication skills, strong attention to detail and ability to multi task and work to deadlines.
- Commercially aware.
- Strong IT skills.
- Target drive, hands on, "can do" attitude.
The role is a Days role - 8am to 4.35pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.10pm on Friday.
Salary is up to 43k per annum.
