Trainee Finance Business Partner

The team and I are currently partnering with a Global Vehicle Manufacturer based in the West Midlands who are looking for a Trainee Finance Business Partner to join the team on a three year FTC.

The role offers a salary of up to £32,000 (dependent on experience) and requires travel to the office once per week, after an initial training period.

Our client is looking for an ambitious finance graduate with 1 - 3 years post qualification experience, who has a strong understanding of MS Excel and the ability to asses, identify and correct any mistakes on existing spreadsheets as well as create your own from scratch.

Duties as below:

• Working as part of the Commercial Finance team acting as a Finance Business Partner for all levels of internal stakeholders up to Director level
• Responsibility for all aspects of the profitability of a part of the New Vehicle range
• Producing annual Budget and monthly Forecasts for the brand taking into account all validated campaigns and actions
• Preparing the financial result each month and financial forecast updates
• Responsibility of updating the P&L and consolidating the other activities
• Providing detailed reporting which identifies areas for improvement or optimisation of commercial strategy
• Completing all month end activities including accruals and prepayments
• Acting as first point of contact for an MS Excel queries, assessing faulty spreadsheets, identifying cause of issue and fixing

Person specification:

• Extremely confident with MS Excel, able to develop and produce new spreadsheets and amend existing faulty ones
• Motivated individual looking to progress within Commercial Finance
• Studying/desire to study professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, etc)
