Clinical Negligence Paralegal

Salary c£25k - negotiable dependant on experience

This position is working for a leading, well-established, multi-office, Legal 500-listed law firm, with an enviable reputation in the field of Clinical Negligence.

This is an amazing opportunity to join a very busy, well-regarded, highly experienced Clinical Negligence team and work alongside/be mentored by a Partner who has a wealth of clinical negligence experience, and is listed in the Legal 500.

The role will involve:

  • Providing support to a team of senior Clinical Negligence Fee Earners
  • Pre-screening new cases, with a view to building up your own caseload in the longer-term
  • Speaking to potential new clients, by telephone to ascertain the nature of their injury
  • Attending home visits to take further details
  • Presenting potential claims to fee earners
  • Conducting legal research and due diligence in relation to clients and cases
  • Opening new files
  • Drafting legal documents
  • Attending hearings
  • Dealing with clients' enquiries

Suitable candidates will have:

  • A law degree and ideally LPC or part-CILEx qualification
  • Previous clinical negligence experience (personal injury experience will also be considered)
  • Sound knowledge of Civil Procedures

This is a full time permanent job which is fully office-based.
