People Helpdesk Advisor - Coventry (Office-based)

Hours: Monday to Friday, flexible shifts between 8am - 6pm

Are you passionate about people and enjoy supporting your colleagues? Our client is currently seeking People Helpdesk Advisors to join their growing team! This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and expanding business, providing key support to employees across the organisation.

The opportunity:As a People Helpdesk advisor, you will be the first point of contact for all colleagues contacting the People Service team. Providing timely, effective, professional advice or direct calls to subject matter experts when required.

The role:

  • Be the first point of contact for employees, providing professional advice and support via phone or email.
  • Handle HR queries, from employment documentation to right-to-work checks, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, update tracking systems, and provide regular reports on your activity.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure HR best practices and excellent colleague experience.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism, handling sensitive information with care.
  • Take part in HR administrative tasks and contribute to wider HR projects.

The candidate:

  • A service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple cases with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience handling queries across multiple channels (in-person, phone, email).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and experience with HR systems like ServiceNow/Workday (preferred).
  • Generalist HR experience or recruitment admin experience
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy compliance.
