We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Engineering Maintenance Assistant to join our newly built waste management facility in Coventry, West Midlands!

Company benefits include:

  • Competitive Salary: On offer is a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum plus overtime
  • Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Hours: Working 5 x 8 hour shifts per week (Week 1 - 6am-2pm) (Week 2 - 2pm to 10pm) (Week 3 - 10pm to 6am) with occasional weekends paid as overtime may be required.

About the role:

.In this Engineering Maintenance Assistant role you will be an integral part of a committed team, ensuring our plant operates seamlessly. You will play a key role in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, contributing to our mission of minimising downtime and maximising efficiency. We are seeking individuals eager to enhance their engineering skills and make a tangible impact in a rapidly evolving industry. 

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist in Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as per OEM specifications, effectively recording data into the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). 
  • Collaborate with support staff to monitor performance and engagement levels. 
  • Uphold Health & Safety compliance across your shift, fostering a safe working environment. 
  • Provide hands-on support to operators when required, ensuring operational effectiveness. 
  • Conduct repairs on plant machinery promptly to minimise downtime. 
  • Oversee and review the performance of the cleaning team to maintain high standards. 
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing innovative ideas to enhance operational efficiency. 

About you:

We are looking for an Engineering Maintenance Assistant who embodies the spirit of teamwork and possesses a keen desire to learn and grow within the engineering field. You should have at least a Level 2 qualification in Engineering or be enthusiastic about kickstarting your career in this domain. Essential qualifications and skills include experience working within a planned maintenance environment, excellent teamwork and communication skills, strong problem-solving capabilities, and a willingness to work the specified shifts. Additionally, an understanding of Health & Safety practises and regulations, along with a genuine desire to learn and develop your engineering skill set, will set you apart.
