Your new roleHays is working with a number of schools in Coventry and Warwickshire. There is a high demand for SEN and General Teaching Assistants to work on a full and part-time basis. Most jobs are available long-term, giving you job security. However, if you prefer to work on a day-to-day basis, then there is plenty of shift cover available also. You will be required to support the class teacher in Reception, KS1 and KS2, providing 1:1 and general support. You will work with children with a variety of needs, including Autism, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, non-verbal and learning difficulties.What you'll need to succeedYou must have recent experience working with children with additional needs. You will be a confident, patient and calm individual that shows empathy when working with children with additional needs. Ideally, you will be qualified, but this is not essential, providing you have experience.
