AMJ Recruitment are recruiting for one of our prestigious National Client based in Coventry, for a Purchasing Coordinator/Administrator to join their growing team.

Based - Coventry

Salary - £23000 per annum (Rising after Probationary Period)

Term - Permanent

Working Hours - 09:00am until 17:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Start Date - ASAP

Job Overview:

This is an opportunity for an individual to support the purchasing requirements, for a market leading manufacturing
company. You will be responsible for processing purchase requests from across the business, ensuring purchase
orders are processed quickly and accurately, to support production departments and remove the risk of stockouts.
You will need to build good professional relationships with our suppliers and ensure that our system is kept up to
date with confirmed delivery dates, highlighting any changes to delivery dates or order quantities to department
heads.

Duties Include:

Work closely with production departments to create and send purchase orders to our suppliers.
Liaise with suppliers to obtain order confirmations and check these against our purchase order, storing a
copy on our system.
Highlight to department heads any changes to purchase orders (delivery dates, quantities, items being
supplied, etc)
Update our system with confirmed delivery dates from the supplier.
Provide our Goods In team with updates on what deliveries are due in by day.
Communicate any short deliveries, damages, wrong items, or issues with paperwork to the supplier and
obtain dates for these issues to be resolved.
Monitor overdue purchase orders and liaise with suppliers, to ensure goods are delivered before the
production department is at risk of a stockout.
Update purchasing KPI reporting for production heads.
Setup and maintain item numbers on our system.
Update item purchase prices on our system, once approved by department heads.
Manage and maintain a positive, effective relationship with our supplier network.
Manage the Purchase Order systems to ensure AX is kept up to date, with any old orders/remaining
balances being chased up or cancelled, as required.
Ensure that goods are being delivered in the most costs effective way. Whether this is delivered by the
suppler, a third party or collected by our Transport.

Candidates must have:

An excellent Communicator via all forms of communications to a number of audiences.
An excellent MS office user, specifically in Excel.
Must have Office Experience in the past
Well organized.
