Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver (Day Shift)

We are a well-established company specializing in the safe and reliable transportation of temperature-sensitive goods. We are currently looking for a skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team on day shifts. As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering temperature-sensitive goods. You will oversee the loading process, ensure the accuracy of orders, and provide excellent customer service during multi-drop deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, compliance, and professionalism at all times.

  Loading Supervision: Ensure that products are securely loaded and properly secured to minimize the risk of damage during transport.
• 
  Order Verification: Collaborate with the Transport team and loaders to confirm that the load matches customer orders.
• 
  Safe Delivery: Assess delivery sites to ensure they are safe to unload and respect the customer's property. Consult with the customer or Transport team if unsure.
• 
  Customer Interaction: Check goods off with customers, obtain signatures, and resolve any delivery issues effectively. Contact the Transport team for assistance if required.
• 
  Multi-Drop Deliveries: Complete multi-drop deliveries in a timely, safe, and professional manner, ensuring all products are delivered to the correct locations.
• 
  Compliance: Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with traffic laws, tachograph regulations, and driver hour limits.
• 
  Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the vehicle in good condition, avoid unnecessary damage, and keep the cab clean. Conduct daily vehicle inspections before starting the shift.
• 
  Accident Prevention & Reporting: Minimize accidents and report any incidents immediately, following the company's accident reporting procedures.

• 
  Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience driving an HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicle.
• 
  Certifications: Up-to-date CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digi Tacho knowledge.
• 
  Customer Service: Excellent customer service and communication skills to handle customer interactions and ensure satisfaction.
• 
  Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols and legal requirements for driving and delivery.
• 
  Physical Ability: Ability to perform physical tasks such as securing loads and conducting vehicle inspections.
• 
  Attention to Detail: Accuracy in verifying customer orders and completing delivery documentation.
