Salary: £13.50 - £18.00 Per Hour, Depending on Experience. (£26,676 - £35,568 Per Annum).

Location: Cramlington NE23.

Schedule: Monday - Friday Day Shift (38 Hours Per Week).

About The Role:

The Manual Machinist is responsible for machining white metal components parts in accordance with customer specification in line with company standards.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Include:

  • Conventional turning to produce high precision parts to customer specifications
  • Able to read, interpret and communicate technical drawings
  • Ability to use measuring equipment
  • Correctly position the component into the machine, using lifting aids as required
  • Carry out the machining in accordance to the components route card and technical drawing
  • Check your own quality as you work, measuring first-offs before proceeding with any additional machining with hand measuring equipment such as venires and micrometres

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous turning experience is essential
  • Milling experience is beneficial
  • Educated to Engineering Apprentice level or equivalent is essential
  • Previous experience within the manufacturing industry is essential
  • Ability to read, interpret and communicate technical drawings is essential
  • Manual Handling Training and overhead crane experience is essential
  • Good written and oral skills
  • Must have proven team-working skills
