RECEPTIONIST / SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR- Required for January 2025

(Part-time, Term-time 34 weeks per year)

We are seeking to appoint (from January 2025) an enthusiastic Part-time School Receptionist (Saturdays) at our Senior School and Part-time Receptionist and School Administrator at our Prep School.

Both roles will provide a professional and welcoming reception service to all visitors at Cranleigh School and Cranleigh Prep School and include a variety of administrative duties. Acting as the primary point of contact between the school and its parents and visitors, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; be flexible and approachable in a busy day to day environment and have an understanding of safeguarding children. Written and verbal communications skills are important along with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure. The ideal candidate will have experience of undertaking a range of administrative tasks in a busy customer facing role however full training and guidance will be given for the right candidate. Experience of working within a school environment is desirable.

Working hours per week:

Cranleigh School: Saturdays during term time from 08:30 - 12:30 (although some flexibility will be required for additional hours on the occasional Saturday).

Cranleigh Prep School: Wednesdays and Thursdays 07:30 - 17:30, Friday 07:30 - 13:00 during term time.

We would ideally like one person to fulfil both roles however we also welcome applications from candidates who would prefer to only do one role at either Cranleigh School or Cranleigh Prep School. Please state clearly in your application what your preference would be (both roles, Cranleigh School Receptionist Saturdays or Cranleigh Prep School Receptionist/School Administrator weekdays).
