Qualified SEN Teacher Wanted in Cranleigh!

  • Salary: £33,075 - £50,471 (with regular pay progression) 
  • Location: Cranleigh 
  • Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (Tuesdays are a must!) 
  • Hours: 34.75 hours/week – Mon to Fri, 9am to 4:30pm (Tuesdays till 5:30pm for staff meetings and training)

Are you a passionate teacher with a knack for Music, PE, Art & Design, Food Tech, Science, or Computing & ICT? Join our 'Outstanding' Ofsted-rated day school for autistic children aged 4-19! Lead a small class of 3-6 pupils, providing 1:1 and small group support to help them thrive.

What You'll Do:

  • Teach a small class with individualised curriculums.
  • Plan and implement school-wide curriculum for your subject and organise themed days and events.
  • Manage pupils’ curriculum targets and vocational qualifications.
  • Support pupils on trips, bringing theory to life.
  • Provide behaviour support to improve quality of life.
  • Collect and analyse data to monitor progress.
  • Help with breaktime duties, including playground support and snack time.

What You Need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teaching & Learning Status (QTLS).
  • Experience in the UK school system and knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Interest in SEND.
  • Comfort working with children who exhibit challenging behaviours.
  • Willingness to support with personal/intimate care if needed.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with all stakeholders.
