Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Exciting Opportunity with Luke Malin at Academics

I am currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide essential support to students in overcoming barriers to learning within a well Established Secondary School in Crawley. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to make a real impact in education by supporting students with additional learning needs in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEND) or other learning/behavioural needs
  • Work closely with teachers to adapt and differentiate learning materials to help students engage effectively
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment to help students develop confidence and independence
  • Assist with personal care on a one-to-one basis where necessary (training provided)
  • Support students both inside and outside the classroom, including during breaks and lunchtimes
Requirements:
  • A strong interest in supporting students with SEND and additional needs
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to working with students
  • Experience in a school or support role (desirable but not essential)
