As a Clinical Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of medical supplies, equipment, and services required for clinical operations. This role requires close collaboration with clinical and operational teams, ensuring procurement activities meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and budget constraints. You will also be tasked with managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and overseeing supply chain logistics to guarantee the timely delivery of essential products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement clinical procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing medical supplies, equipment, and services
  • Ensure compliance with health care regulations, industry standards, and ethical procurement practices
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to assess procurement needs, ensuring the availability of high-quality products
  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and contracts
  • Monitor and analyse procurement performance, identifying areas for cost-saving and process improvement
  • Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and support
  • Manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking of critical supplies
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage procurement-related risks.
  • Ensure the procurement budget is effectively managed and adhered to

Skills:

  • Previous procurement experience
  • Knowledge of public sector regulations (PCR15)
  • Excellent negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
