Sustainability & Decarbonisation Project Leader

Are you passionate about sustainability and carbon reduction? We are looking for a Sustainability & Decarbonisation Project Leader to drive initiatives that reduce CO2 emissions and enhance sustainability across our operations and supply base.

About the Role

In this role, you will be the key driver of decarbonisation efforts, reporting directly to senior leadership. Your focus will be on developing low-carbon material strategies, improving sustainability governance, and ensuring compliance with global environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • CO2 Reduction & Decarbonisation Strategy: Develop and implement low-carbon material selection approaches, working across teams to reduce environmental impact.
  • Sustainable Supply Chains & Compliance: Support efforts to create transparent and responsible sourcing models, ensuring suppliers align with climate and sustainability goals.
  • Chain of Custody & Traceability: Work with internal teams to enhance supply chain transparency, integrating sustainability principles into business operations.
  • Training & Capacity Building: Develop training programs to educate internal teams and external partners on sustainable practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Regulatory & Environmental Standards: Stay ahead of evolving sustainability regulations and ensure best practices are embedded across operations.
What You'll Need

We are looking for someone with a strong background in sustainability, environmental management, or carbon reduction initiatives, with expertise in global sustainability frameworks, including:

? ISO 14001 - Environmental Management Systems? Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) - EU-wide sustainability obligations? LkSG (German Supply Chain Act) - Due diligence and transparency requirements? EC Directive 2000/53EC (End-of-Life Vehicles) - Circular economy regulations? ZEV Mandate UK (Zero Emission Vehicles) - Decarbonisation in transportation? EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation) - Responsible sourcing for deforestation-free supply chains
