Key Responsibilities:

As a Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant with Academics, you will play a vital role in helping a child with Autism by:

  • Providing one-on-one support to the student, tailored to their specific needs.
  • Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to create and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters the child's academic and personal development.
  • Assisting the child with Autism in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
  • Monitoring and recording the child's progress and behavior, while offering consistent support and encouragement.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you should possess:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with children who have Autism.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
