About the Role

Tempest Resourcing is looking for a highly organized and efficient **School Administrator** to join a busy and vibrant school. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school's administrative functions, providing essential support to staff, students, and parents.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff, handling inquiries via phone, email, and in person.

- Manage student attendance records, follow up on absences, and produce attendance reports.

- Maintain and update the school's databases, including pupil and staff records.

- Provide administrative support to the senior leadership team, including preparing documents, letters, and reports.

- Handle admissions, registration, and new student enrolment processes.

- Organize and manage the school calendar, scheduling meetings, events, and appointments.

- Monitor and order office supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained.

- Assist with finance tasks such as processing invoices and managing petty cash.

- Help to organize school events, parent-teacher meetings, and extracurricular activities.

- Ensure all administrative tasks comply with school policies, safeguarding, and GDPR requirements.

Requirements

- Previous administrative experience, ideally within a school or educational environment.

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Proficiency in MS Office and school management software (e.g., SIMS) is desirable.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- A proactive and flexible approach to work, with a keen eye for detail.

- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
