We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Tutor to provide 1:1 support to a Year 12 student in West Croydon. This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional with teaching experience to make a significant impact on a student's academic journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored IT tuition to a Year 12 student, focusing on their specific needs and areas of improvement.
  • Deliver engaging lessons in areas such as computer science, coding, digital literacy, and IT theory, according to the student's curriculum.
  • Support the student with exam preparation and coursework, helping them develop a strong understanding of key concepts.
  • Monitor the student's progress and provide regular feedback to ensure continued development.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit the student's learning style and pace, fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification or equivalent (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) and/or relevant IT qualifications.
  • Proven experience in teaching or tutoring IT at Key Stage 5 (A-Level) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of IT and computer science curriculum content, including coding languages, digital systems, and networks.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for helping students succeed.
  • A clear enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
