A fantastic opportunity for a commercial combined underwriter to join a dynamic team working for a leading insurance business. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in commercial combined insurance underwriting experience to contribute to a growing and successful business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Underwriting new business quotations, mid-term adjustments, and renewals within delegated authority guidelines.
  • Handling queries and providing expert advice.
  • Prioritising workload and adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to team performance and achieving key performance indicators.
  • Actively participating in training and development initiatives.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Proven underwriting experience in commercial combined insurance.
  • Strong understanding of delegated authority schemes.
  • Familiarity with FCA regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience with bespoke systems, such as Acturis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
