Mechanical Design Engineer Commercial Croydon

We are currently partnered with a Consultancy Service with a successful track record of delivery across the last 25 years. With continued success across the UK they are looking to further expand their team with a Mechanical Design Engineer in Croydon.

Responsibilities

Mechanical System Design:

The engineer is responsible for designing mechanical systems such as HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, and fire protection systems in alignment with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.

Coordination with Other Disciplines:

Work closely with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other design professionals to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into the overall building design, resolving any conflicts that may arise during the design process.

Preparation of Design Documentation:

Create detailed mechanical design drawings, specifications, and calculations to support the construction phase. This includes ensuring that all documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with the projects requirements.

Compliance and Standards Adherence:

Ensure that all designs and systems comply with local codes, regulations, and industry standards. The engineer will perform checks and quality control to maintain regulatory compliance and ensure that designs are both functional and cost-effective.

Project Support and Problem-Solving:

Provide technical support during the construction phase by addressing design issues, conducting site visits, and resolving any mechanical design-related problems that arise on-site. This could include suggesting modifications or improvements to optimize system performance.

Requirements
