Job Description: Payroll Administrator
Position Overview:
- Position Title: Payroll Administrator
- Salary: Up to £32,000 per year
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Probation Period: 6 months
- Location: Full-time, site-based across in Cwmbran
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Holiday Entitlement: 20 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Pension: Auto-enrolment
- Prepare and process weekly and monthly payroll for 150 employees.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll, using systems such as SAGE 50 and Excel.
- Address payroll discrepancies promptly and professionally.
- Maintain and manage the company's rostering system to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee shift scheduling, ensuring compliance with operational needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any rostering issues or changes.
- Extract and manage payroll and roster data for reporting and decision-making.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data.
- Proactively identify and rectify gaps or inconsistencies in payroll or scheduling data.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, including UK compliance and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll calculations, tax deductions, and related regulatory aspects.
- Competence in managing rostering systems and ensuring efficiency.
- Demonstrable experience in payroll data collation, extraction, and analysis.
- Familiarity with SAGE 50 payroll software is highly desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to adapt and learn new systems quickly if needed.
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across multiple sites.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with colleagues and employees effectively.
