Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

Job Purpose

  • To lead and Provide overall operational and strategic management of a Service Area within Children’s Care and Support.
  • To ensure the effective and timely delivery of appropriate intervention and support services to children and their families.
  • To ensure that national, local and service performance targets and priorities are met.
  • To ensure that the Service delivers consistently high standards of practice, good customer focus and effective professional interface.
  • To ensure Children’s Care and Support is run as an effective and efficient business

Statutory Requirements

  • This post carries a requirement to have a Disclosure and Baring Service check for either Adults, Children’s, or both.
  • This post carries a requirement to have a SWE registration.

Job Requirements

  • Substantial direct experience of supervising qualified practitioners undertaking statutory safeguarding work.
  • Substantial direct experience of, recruiting, leading and managing staff at different levels in an organisation.
  • Experience of chairing a range of complex meetings with both internal and external partners.
  • Experience of managing and addressing poor performance, and also promoting and celebrating good performance.
  • Experience of managing budgets and an understanding of value for money.
