Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
Job Purpose
- To lead and Provide overall operational and strategic management of a Service Area within Children’s Care and Support.
- To ensure the effective and timely delivery of appropriate intervention and support services to children and their families.
- To ensure that national, local and service performance targets and priorities are met.
- To ensure that the Service delivers consistently high standards of practice, good customer focus and effective professional interface.
- To ensure Children’s Care and Support is run as an effective and efficient business
Statutory Requirements
- This post carries a requirement to have a Disclosure and Baring Service check for either Adults, Children’s, or both.
- This post carries a requirement to have a SWE registration.
- A Safer People for Safer Services form has been completed for this post.
Job Requirements
- Substantial direct experience of supervising qualified practitioners undertaking statutory safeguarding work.
- Substantial direct experience of, recruiting, leading and managing staff at different levels in an organisation.
- Experience of chairing a range of complex meetings with both internal and external partners.
- Experience of managing and addressing poor performance, and also promoting and celebrating good performance.
- Experience of managing budgets and an understanding of value for money.
