We are a thriving, inclusive primary school in Dagenham looking for a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our supportive team.

About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role:You will work with children in Early Years and Key Stage 1, providing tailored support to students with special educational needs. The role includes personal care duties (such as occasional nappy changing and toileting). Your ability to create a nurturing and inclusive environment will make a real difference to the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, and social/emotional difficulties.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to ensure pupils' learning and emotional needs are met.
  • Undertake personal care duties as required.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote an inclusive and positive classroom environment.
  • Flexibly assist around the school wherever needed.

Essential Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant

  • CACHE Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a good sense of humour.
  • Willingness to undertake personal care tasks.

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or social/emotional difficulties.
