Our client, a well known biotechnology and science company based in Dartford, close to the Dartford Tunnel area, are looking for a Laboratory Technician to work with them Monday to Friday on the 8am to 4pm shift. Starting hourly rate is £13.33 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture of intermediates and final reagents. Including in process testing.
  • Operation of semi automated equipment for the dispensing and production of a range of products.
  • Handling of microorganisms for use in testing
  • Monitoring of stock levels for products that you are manufacturing.
  • Be responsible for the quality of manufactured reagents, completed documentation and ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Use of computerised systems for stock control monitoring to ensure items are available for when they are needed.
  • Highlight any health and safety or quality issues to help support our site safety culture
  • Engage in PPI (continuous improvement) programs as required.
  • Any other duties/projects as are reasonable and within the skills and ability of the post holder.
  • Actively participate in training, which will be given for all processes carried out.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Interest in science and manufacturing
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • To have excellent communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills.
  • Able to learn new skills and display them to a high standard.
