About The RoleIntroduction and overall purpose of the role Responsible for managing the Cleaning Team and Cleaning Operations and delivering excellent customer service. Planning work schedules, preparing material orders, managing absences and inspecting standards of work during the shift. Ensure equipment is prepared at the start of the shift and daily checks of cleaning standards are carried out at the end of the shift. Checking the handover book to ensure requests from users within the school are carried out in a timely, accurate and professional manner.You will be working Monday to Friday between 15:00 to 18:00, 17.5 hours per week.Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role

  • Ensure the effective delivery of cleaning service; complying with agreed work schedules and using appropriate methods of work, ensuring all service level agreement and quality standards are met in line with the Company and contract requirements.
  • Effectively supervise, train, motivate, discipline and ensure the safety and general welfare of staff in accordance with OCS policies, procedures and training guidelines.
  • Be a role model for your team. Develop good working practices and relationships to support staff. To include engagement, motivation, discipline, safety, and general welfare of the staff under supervision.
  • Provide leadership, direction and delegation to staff.
  • Be responsible and accountable for overall day to day operations of the OCS team.
  • Ensure suitable cover for absences is maintained across the shift to ensure service meets its contractual requirement.
  • Manage annual leave requests for your team with the Mobile Cleaning Supervisor.
  • Carry out return to work interviews with staff.
  • Collate and coordinate the information required for the Mobile Cleaning Supervisor e.g material orders, time sheets; ensuring the information is provided on time.
  • Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer Service in accordance with the company standards.
  • Any other duties requested by the Mobile Cleaning Supervisor and Cleaning Manager.

Educational Level

  • GCSE level grade C and above Experience -Previous experience -desirable/essential for technical competence of the role
  • Supervisory experience in managing teams (Essential)
  • Proven experience of improving team performance (Essential)
  • Good PC skills (Desirable)
  • Cleaning experience within an educational setting (Desirable) Personal Characteristics/Attributes
  • Strong character with a no-nonsense approach
  • Proactive, organised, structured and reliable
