28k-30k – competitive salary dependent on experience & attitude

40 hour working week spread across Mon-Sat

I am currently seeking a well organised, dynamic and committed candidate with a background in Transport Planning.

This role is a vital position within the team and requires a switched on, hard working applicantwith the ability to solve problems effectively, and an interest in progression for the right person. You will be an active, hands-on member of the team, dealing daily with the fleet of drivers while ensuring the planning is done in the most cost effective and quickest way.

Duties for this role include:

UK planning for a fleet of vehicles including Class 1, Class 2 and vans in the quickest and most cost-effective manner
Liaising with other departments including drivers to ensure a smooth-running operation
The ability to be able to analyse routes to maximise the capability of the fleet
Research and develop your knowledge on current transport legislations, to make sure you are working alongside the Transport Manager on compliance matters

The successful candidate will have/be:

Recent experience working within a similar role
Excellent communication skills
The ability to work well alone as well as within a team
Flexible with working hours
A proactive approach to work and have the ability to think on their feet in a fast paced environment
