Do you have a strong Logistics background?

I am currently seeking a well organised, dynamic and committed candidate with a background in Transport Planning. 

This role is a vital position within the team and requires a switched on, hard working applicantwith the ability to solve problems effectively, and an interest in progression for the right person. You will be an active, hands-on member of the team, dealing daily with the fleet of drivers while ensuring the planning is done in the most cost effective and quickest way.

Duties for this role include:

  • UK planning for a fleet of vehicles including Class 1, Class 2 and vans in the quickest and most cost-effective manner
  • Liaising with other departments including drivers to ensure a smooth-running operation
  • The ability to be able to analyse routes to maximise the capability of the fleet
  • Research and develop your knowledge on current transport legislations, to make sure you are working alongside the Transport Manager on compliance matters

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Recent experience working within a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work well alone as well as within a team
  • Flexible with working hours
  • A proactive approach to work and have the ability to think on their feet in a fast paced environment
