Job: Senior Care Worker - Residential Care Home
Location: Dartford, Kent
Salary: 14.88 per hour
Hours: 42 hours per week (3 days in week 1, 4 days in week 2, with alternate weekends)
Shifts: 12-hour shifts, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

The Role:

As a Senior Care Worker, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating the care for our residents, ensuring that their individual needs are met in accordance with the home's high standards. You will work closely with the Care Manager and senior team members to ensure that the company's mission and core values are implemented in all aspects of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high standards of care and support to residents, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist in planning, delivering, and evaluating care to enhance residents' independence and quality of life.
  • Ensure all residents are treated with respect and dignity, ensuring their privacy and personal choices are respected.
  • Contribute to the development of care plans and assist in reviewing care plans regularly to ensure their effectiveness.
  • Supervise and support junior care staff, providing leadership and guidance.
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate records as required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Health and Safety regulations, and the Care Standards Act.
  • Help with the development of activities and engagement for residents, supporting them to live fulfilling lives.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working in a senior care role within a residential care setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with residents and staff.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care while respecting residents' rights and independence.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • A caring, compassionate, and positive attitude.
  • Willingness to work on alternate weekends.
