Our client, an international manufacturing group with a UK office, is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their organisation. In this role you will be working in a friendly and fast-paced environment assisting and delivering accurate and timely management information to their European head office in the Netherlands.
This is an office-based ongoing temporary position for one year, covering maternity leave. Due to the urgency of the role, we are seeking immediately available candidates or those with a short notice period.

- £16.50 per hour
- Working hours Monday to Friday 8am-4pm OR 8.30am-4.30pm OR 9am-5pm (37.5 hour working week)
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Rising to 26 annual leave days after 13 weeks

Duties:
- Completion of monthly management accounts
- Responsible for all month-end journals (i.e. accruals and prepayments)
- Reconciling the balance sheet to ensure accuracy of monthly accounts
- Responsible for purchase ledger including posting supplier invoices and managing supplier payments
- Reviewing and processing expenses
- Completion of bank reconciliations and managing the cashflow with the In-house banks
- HMRC reporting including VAT returns
- Support UK companies sales ledger and credit control during
Skills and experience required:
- Experience of managing company accounts to trial balance
- Part-qualified AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of Pegasus Opera is beneficial, along with good working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
