We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Welsh Teacher to join our vibrant teaching team at a high school in Flintshire. As a Welsh Teacher, you will inspire students to appreciate the richness of the Welsh language, teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 while promoting bilingualism and cultural awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Welsh to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning experience
- Deliver lessons that encourage students to become confident and fluent in Welsh, both spoken and written
- Develop and implement creative and interactive lesson plans that cater to the needs of all learners
- Assess studentsā progress and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their potential
- Encourage studentsā enthusiasm for Welsh culture, history, and literature
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the wider school community in embracing the Welsh language
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the Welsh department
Qualifications & Skills:
- A relevant teaching qualification (QTS)
- Fluent in Welsh (written and spoken)
- Strong knowledge of the Welsh curriculum for KS3 and KS4
- Passionate about the Welsh language and culture
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience teaching Welsh at KS3 and KS4 is desirable but not essential
- Ability to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
