Are you a detail-oriented Estimator with a passion for accuracy and cost control in construction projects? Construo Recruitment are recruiting an Estimator for our client who is a civil engineering and building contractor.
About the Role:
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting tenders and budgets, including obtaining supporting quotations for subcontract work, materials and plant. You will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates for a range of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness
- Analysing blueprints, specifications, and proposals to determine project requirements
- Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Collaborating with project managers and clients to refine estimates
- Keeping up to date with market trends and pricing fluctuations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator
- Must have Main Contractor working experience
- Experience working in Energy, Flood defence and water, Effluent treatment, Waste management, Retail and Commercial is preferred
- Experience working in Industrial buildings, small/medium scale civil engineering projects, drainage and concrete structures is necessary
- Working contract knowledge - NEC3 Options A and B, JCT, ICE
- Civil Engineering and/or Quantity Surveying degree
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations
