Purchase Ledger ClerkCastle DoningtonPermanent30 hours per week (Flexible)Hybrid£25-£26,000 (FTE)Eaton Syalon have been engaged to recruit a Permanent Purchase Ledger Clerk for our long standing client based in Castle Donington. We are keen to speak to you if you have previous experience in Purchase Ledger, and are looking for a part-time role that offers hybrid working and flexible working hours. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will hold responsibility for all Purchase Ledger activities including:

  • Accurately log all and code all incoming invoices into SAP, ensuring timely processing
  • Liaise with relevant departments and stakeholders to facilitate timely invoice approvals. Monitor approval workflows to ensure prompt resolution of any delays or discrepancies.
  • Accurately enter and post invoices into SAP
  • Supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Serve as the point of contact for supplier queries, resolving issues related to payments, outstanding balances, or invoice discrepancies
  • Prepare accurate and complete payment requests to assist with the monthly payment run
  • Issue remittance advices to suppliers post-payment
  • Maintain and update tracking spreadsheets to reflect invoice statuses, payment progress, and reconciliation outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient purchase ledger processes.
  • Provide ad-hoc support as required within the wider finance team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience using SAP ERP system is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong IT and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • A flexible and well-organised approach to work, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with suppliers and colleagues.

This role would be ideal for someone with end to end Purchase Ledger experience looking for a part-time role (30 hours a week) working for a well established, consistently performing business within a lovely team.The role can be worked over four full days or five days with reduced hours and offers hybrid working, flexible hours, a fantastic holiday package and on-site parking.
