Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Manage employee relations cases, including attendance management, long-term absence, disciplinary actions, grievances, and capability issues.
- Advise managers on policies, procedures, legal compliance, and best practices, ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Fosterpositive employee relations and maintain effective communication with trade union representatives.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legal and organisational standards.
- Ensure compliance with working time regulations, ethical standards, and employment law.
- Provide guidance on reasonable adjustments, redeployment, and ill-health retirement processes.
- Analyse HR KPIs and present actionable insights to senior management.
- Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures and role evaluations.
- Partner with managers to drive performance improvements and team collaboration.
- Assist in recruitment processes, including working with agencies and managing temporary staffing needs.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, including surveys and feedback groups.
- Support managers in implementing strategies to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with senior HR leadership on ad hoc projects to enhance the workplace environment.
Person Specification:
- Significant HR generalist experience within manufacturing or a similar fast-paced environment (2 years required).
- CIPD qualified or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of employee relations, HR best practices, and employment law.
- Skilled in coaching, performance management, and providing data-driven recommendations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems (3 years required).
