Join Our Team as a Business Development Manager - Hazardous Waste

Their Hazardous Waste division is dedicated to delivering high-quality waste management services to the manufacturing, automotive, and distribution sectors.

The Role: As a Business Development Manager in the clients Hazardous Waste division, you'll play a critical role in securing new business opportunities for their hazardous waste transfer station. You will collaborate with Operations and the technical team to source and implement high-quality business wins, driving significant impact on revenues and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement sizeable new hazardous waste accounts.
  • Work closely with theTechnical Director to target new business in key industry sectors and geographies.
  • Generate and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects that align with the business strategy and sales revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with other business units and group sales functions to ensure a cohesive approach.
  • Represent the business unit positively to all stakeholders, presenting best-in-class hazardous waste services.
  • Support and respond to tenders and requests for information, ensuring effective interaction with account management and internal teams.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven sales and development experience in a field-based business development role.
  • Track record of achieving key performance indicators.
  • In-depth knowledge of the waste industry and relevant legislation.
  • Experience in bid writing and responding to tender documentation.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to quickly digest and analyse data.
  • Agile, solutions-focused mindset with a knack for building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to plan precisely and work well in a team.
