As an Accounts Senior, you will work closely with clients, primarily handling year-end accounts preparation and management accounts. You'll have the chance to take on additional projects as they arise and play a crucial role in delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare working files and draft accounts.
- Address client queries and compile discussion points for senior managers or partners.
- Work within budgets agreed upon at the planning stage.
- Produce draft tax computations and provisions for inclusion in company accounts.
- Ensure statutory disclosures comply with company checklists.
- Identify basic tax planning opportunities while adhering to standard procedures.
- Use computer-based accounting programs to deliver high-quality results.
- Attend training and seminars to further develop both technical and personal skills.
- Work towards professional qualifications if not yet attained, with full study support provided.
- Professionally represent the firm in interactions with clients and other professionals.
- Previous experience as an Accounts Senior within a reputable accounting firm.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with cloud-based accountancy software.
- Knowledge of IRIS and Xero (preferred, but not essential).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and application of skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
- ACA or ACCA qualified, although part-qualified candidates will also be considered.
