Your new role
The role involves supporting the HoSS&D in continuously improving and maintaining the BPSS systems, ensuring they are available, fit for purpose, updated, and that staff are well-trained. It includes implementing changes, proactively driving system improvements, and involving System Support & Development in any impactful changes. This position is part of the Finance and Business Systems Support Team and ensures the effective operation of all BPSS systems.
Nature and Scope:Key relationships include BPSS System End Users, Professional Users, and System Support Partners. Effective relationships are supported by the ability to analyse and summarise complex material, strong communication skills for high-quality presentations and reports, initiative and creativity for proposing improvements, advanced skills in spreadsheets, Word, and PowerPoint, good knowledge of statistics and data handling, and the ability to conduct research and meet strict deadlines. The role may require travel across the UK, including overnight stays.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Relevant IT/professional services qualification or willingness to attain ITIL.
  • Relevant Change Management qualification.
  • Excellent document writing skills.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise workload, and attention to detail.
  • Strong listening and recording skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised with a proactive approach.
  • Willingness to travel
