Your new companyAn expanding business that grows through acquisition are looking for an additional payroll clerk to join the team who process over 8,000 employees across the UK. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual to take ownership of your part of the payroll. The company has an excellent benefits package, including a hybrid working of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.Your new roleIn the role of Payroll Clerk, you will work closely with the HR team regarding new starters to ensure they are set up correctly on the payroll system and ready to be paid. Your day-to-day duties will involve importing the payroll data, checking the hours worked and uploading along with the normal payroll duties of calculating sickness, deducting any statutory maternity payments and the other standard HMRC deductions including processing P11D's, P60's and P45's.You will also be involved in checking for any overpayments and agreeing a repayment plan with the Payroll Manager, as well as producing payroll reports for the Senior Management Team.What you'll need to succeedYou will have proven experience of processing payrolls and be aware of the latest payroll legislation including RTI (Real Time Information), Pension and GDPR. Ideally, you will have strong Excel skills to manage the payroll data and be able to analyse the payroll data for any potential errors as well as deal with payroll queries.
