Communications Manager

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire - on-site

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 (Depending on Experience)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm, Friday 7:30am-3:00pm

Imagine joining a successful and well-established family-run business in Doncaster in the early stages of their digital journey; a specialist manufacturer supplying products used by tradespeople in the construction industry across the UK. This is a company with ambition who already sell through dealers nationwide and direct via their own e-commerce site, but they want to make their brand the first name tradespeople think of when they need to buy. Their marketing team is busy with e-commerce. Now they need you, a Communications Manager, to tell their story and make it unforgettable. Could this be your next move?

This isn't just about managing comms; it's about building a voice from scratch. You'll dive into the world of tradespeople, using your knowledge of the construction industry to craft strategies and content that hits home. From writing compelling stories to capturing photos and videos that bring the brand and products to life, you'll be hands-on, creating digital campaigns across all channels to keep their products top of mind. Whether it's supporting dealers or boosting direct sales, your work will drive the brand forward.

The role can flex to your strengths. If you're an executive-level content creator who loves getting stuck in - perfect. If you're a strategic mind who still thrives on the details - equally ideal. You'll collaborate with marketing, sales and technical teams internally, turning their insights into narratives that connect and convert. You'll head out to meet with customers, capturing their real-world stories about how the products perform on the job, then weave those insights into content that resonates far and wide. This is a fully office-based role in Doncaster, where teamwork and collaboration fuel the vibe.

Who are we looking for?

Someone who knows the construction industry inside out; ideally, you've worked in it or supplied to it before. You understand tradespeople, their needs, and how to speak their language. You're a storyteller with a knack for digital, blending creativity with a results-driven edge. You'll bring proven experience - maybe a campaign that turned heads or boosted a brand's profile. That's the kind of impact we're after.

What's in it for you?

  • A salary of £35,000-£50,000
  • A full-time, office-based role in Doncaster (no remote-this is about being in the thick of it and collaboration).
  • Hours of 7:30am-5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am-3:00pm on Fridays - early starts, but Fridays wind down early.

The chance to shape a brand's digital identity, with a business eager to grow.
