Sonic Summary
- Pertemps is seeking Class C+E Drivers for a prestigious logistics client in Doncaster, requiring a minimum of 6 months of LGV C+E license experience.
- The role involves trunking runs, supervising loading and unloading, and planning delivery routes, with shifts starting between 16:00 and 21:00.
- Drivers must be flexible to work Friday and Saturday shifts, as the operation runs 7 days a week.
- Pay rates are £16.53 per hour for Monday to Friday days, £17.23 for nights, £20.00 for Saturdays, and £23.00 for Saturday all hours.
- Additional benefits include holiday pay, an optional pension scheme, and sickness pay after a qualifying period.
Fully paid assessments & training, so no need to worry if you haven't done Wagon & Drag before.
Duties include:
" Wagon & Drag trunking runs to RDC's & Outbases
" Box on Box off (Wagon & Drag)
" Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport managers.
" Supervising or helping to load and unload goods.
" Making sure loads are safely secured.
" Following traffic reports and changing your route if necessary.
" Completing delivery paperwork and logbooks.
An ideal Class 1 Driver will have the following skills and experience:
o Held LGV C+E licence for minimum of 6 months with no more than 6 points and free from serious endorsements for insurance purposes.
o Valid CPC Card /DIGI card.
This is a 7-day operation, we are looking for drivers that are flexible & will work Friday & Saturdays not just Sunday to Thursday shifts. start anywhere between 16:00pm & 21:00pm. (Optional Shifts available)
In return the Class 1 Driver will receive the following rates of pay based on PAYE only we do not accept umbrella or LTD drivers.
o Monday to Friday Days £16.53ph
o Monday to Friday Nights £17.23ph
o Saturday All Hours £20.00ph
o Saturday (All Hours) £23.00ph
All Drivers pay rates are based on PAYE, we do not accept LTD or Umbrella companies.
On top of the Hourly rate, you will accrue Holiday pay, which on average is based on 2 days a month on a 40hr week, Holidays are NOT paid in advance to make the rate look higher. You are enrolled into an optional Pension scheme that can be opted out & SSP is paid if any sickness after a certain period of working time.
