We are seeking a dedicated and patient Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team in the Special Educational Needs (SEN) room. This role involves working with pupils in Key Stage 1 (KS1) who have various educational needs. The majority of these pupils are non-speaking, and there are 7 in total. You will always have the support of another TA in the room.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to pupils with educational needs.
- Work collaboratively with another TA to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support pupils' learning and development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the SEN room.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping pupils succeed.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, especially in non-verbal interactions.
